"From $3/hr to earning 100k per month"

2018- When I transitioned from my corporate job to working from home.

But my hourly rate was $3/hr nung nag start ako kay client.

My first client was a Doctor, and sobrang dami kong task sa kanya hindi kaya ng 8hr shift madalas akong nag O- OT to complete all the task mga 12-14 hrs ako in a day tapos night shift.

Pero I was earning 30-40k/month that time kasi nga malala ang overtime ko dito, until such time na nag-kasakit ako.

Mejo may pag ka workaholic din kasi ako hindi ko priority health ko nun basta ang alam ko lang I need to work para makaipon.

Then I got sick and lost my first baby ( miscarriage ), sinisi ko talaga yung sarili ko kasi feeling ko it happened because of me being a workaholic and working graveyard shift.

After a few months, I got pregnant again but that time sabi ko I will take care of my health na and my baby.

I resigned to my first home-based job and looked for another one na mejo chill lang ang work and working hours.

I became an ESL teacher sa mga OPPA, so habang preggy ako yan ang work ko but I was only earning 120ph/hr isama mo pa yung penalty kpag di mo napindot ready button sino relate jan???

When I gave birth to my baby boy, hindi na ko nakapag work kasi bawal crying baby sa background while teaching.

So ako looking for another opportunity na naman, then I found Freelancing. ( kala ko nung una scam earning 6-digits daw )

So ako nag try, wala naman kasi mawawala because I already lost my job.

March 2020 - Start ng Pandemic.

I used that opportunity to learn a new skill.

At first, nahirapan ako lalo na when I encountered rejections, client na seenzoned ako when they see my proposals.

Pero, I didn't quit!

"It was never an option, the only option is to stay in the game! Until I win the game!" ( sabi yan ng mentor ko )

Sabi ko "kung kaya ng ibang freelancer, kaya ko din "

Tuloy lang ako sa pag client hunt until I closed a $500monthly retainer client working for only 2 hrs a day.

Sabi ko "Ay pak! pede pala talaga yun sa freelancing"

Dati ang goal ko lang maka 50k/month kasi malaki na sakin yun feeling ko kasi ganun sweldo ng TL ko sa "kolsener"

July 2021 - I hit my first 100k income sa freelancing, nung una akala ko impossible pero wala palang impossible basta matyaga kang matuto, matyaga kang humanap ng client.

Trust the process lang, tiwala sa sarili, lakasan ng loob yan ang puhunan ko sa Freelancing and syempre don't forget to pray lahat naman ng biyaya natatanggap natin galing kay GOD.

I was staring at my mother's Chinese necklace, my hands shaking as I walked into the pawnshop.

This precious piece of jewelry - her last memento - was about to change everything, though I didn't know it yet.
